Our Story

As a Peruvian-American team, we are proud to show to the world the extraordinary quality of the craftsmanship and the exquisit natural fibers that exist in Peru. We are making products to bring joy to our customers, all while really having sustainability as a core value.

Peruvian Pima cotton

Peruvian Pima cotton is the world's finest. Its extra-long fiber length, ideal growing conditions in coastal Peru and hand-harvesting, give our cotton an incredibly soft, smooth feel and a bright luster.

It is highly durable – up to 45% stronger than ordinary cotton – so it won’t pill or fray over time. Grown free from pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, Pima cotton is also hypoallergenic, making it an ideal choice for those with sensitive skin.

We care.

100% Organic Peruvian Pima Cotton

Our organic cotton is produced on land free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and defoliants that preserves biodiversity.

The organic standards do not allow the use of GMOS. Peru has a ban for GMO seeds, which reduces the risk of contamination that exists in other cotton producing countries.

Furthermore, the fact that our cotton is handpicked is a benefit, as it reduces the environmental impact and improves the quality of the product.

It uses 90% less water and emits 46% less carbon than its conventional cousin. In association with Bergman Rivera, not only is traceability of the organic cotton guaranteed, but also the fair treatment of every person involved in the production chain.

Because of its long fiber, Peruvian pima cotton is not only the world's softest cotton, but is also incredibly durable, which means you can use and wash your Romelya pajamas for years, making them even more sustainable.

Sure modal is soft, but it doesn't last. Pima cotton on the other hand, is not only super soft

We source our cotton fabric from a specialized small-batch producer, renowned for its first-rate production quality and forward-thinking approach to sustainability. Not only is traceability of the organic cotton guaranteed, but also the fair treatment of every person involved in the production chain.

We make our buttons from a beautiful, hard nut native to the rainforests of South and Central America.

Our labels are made from cotton, and tags are made from cardboard.

With our first collection we celebrate nature with beautiful full color prints. We use state-of-the-art digital printing, which uses significantly less water and ink compared to traditional printing.
